Bug Description

OS: Pop!_Os 20.04

Pinta version: 1.7

Repro:

Edit any image
close pinta

The "close without saving" dialog appears

It is not possible to see which button is currently in focus.

You *can* switch between buttons with tab or arrow keys, but there is no visual feedback at all, you just have to know you've hit tab the correct number of times.

This may be an OS thing, but I checked LibreOffice Writer and gEdit and the tab order is visible in both of those programs.

Can you attach print screen?

I am attaching print-screen of Pinta 1.7 and Pinta 1.8-development on Ubuntu 20.04 and it is actually clear which is default button. It may be some OS or something similar problem.

Also LibreOffice and gEdit are Gtk-3 applications, but Pinta 1.7 is Gtk-2 based. Pinta 1.8 will be Gtk-3 based too, so dialogs etc will be very similar to e.g. gEdit.

Thanks for screenshots. In my humble opinion, I think in your case you have a theming problem on operating system level. Is this theme default theme in you OS? If not, can you change it to default theme to check if this is theme problem.?field.comment=Thanks for screenshots. In my previous post. I have posted the attachment of comparison of my Pinta look and on right site your Pinta look.

I just can't reproduce the problem on Pinta 1.7 snap on Ubuntu 20.04. But I was able to produce the problem on Pinta 1.8-development, but I think this is not the same problem, so I reported a new bug 1923294, to not confuse it with this one.

On testing: You're right.

I have the default dark theme selected and the problem occurs. On changing to the default light theme, the indicator appears (though very faint).

So it's a theming thing, not a pinta thing.

Time to go open a similar report on Pop!_Os' isue tracker -_-

In the meanwhile, thank you for the assistance.

Thanks! I think we can mark this an invalid since it's not an issue directly in Pinta.
