Clicking refresh in Add-in Gallery causes "Exception occurred"

the Gallery is empty, clicking refresh just returns an error:

I'm wondering if this is an issue with the flatpak package - are you able to test with the normal package from your distro?

I've tried snap and that is broken in a different way. Hence why I tried flatpak.

 There's no official version for manjaro.

I can't help for your problem. I just want to give a comment for #2. I am using Pinta/snap 1.7 without any issues. Rega Fox, can you please open new bug for Pinta/snap version, because James Carroll downstream snap package developer is regularly updating Pinta/snap package and checks problems on this bug tracker too. Just please add "Pinta/snap" in bug name.

Update: There's now Pinta 1.7 available from the official repos for manjaro

Switching to that has resolved the issues.
