Bug Description

I have downloaded Pinta 1.8 development for Ubuntu 20.04 from
https://github.com/PintaProject/Pinta/actions/runs/450000006

1. Rectangle Select and select some area on canvas.
2. Create another selection that overlaps with previous selection and now problem appears, previous selection is still displayed. I expect (like in Pinta 1.7) that previous selection just disappears.

Thanks for catching this - I think this regression is from the optimizations made in https://github.com/PintaProject/Pinta/commit/b83844bbca84248da1a3032b44190c55ef89b60f

I have tested Rectangle Select and also Ellipse Select and
I can confirm this problem is fixed now. Thanks.
