Clicking the Text Control Causes the app to crash.

Steps to reproduce on windows 10.

1. Open Pinta.
2. Take the text tool.
3. Wait for a couple of seconds.
4. Pinta crashes.

Which version of Pinta are you using? And are there any error messages or logs available?

Pinta 1.7 Downloaded from home page of the pinta site on the day of reporting the bug so pretty sure the latest version.

Thanks. Do you have a list of the fonts installed on your system? Without a crash log, I'm speculating that the crash might be from building the font preview list in the toolbar

Hi, not the original filer of the bug, but also affected.

Not sure of the best way to get you a list of font on my system, but I cd-ed to %WINDIR%\fonts and piped the output of the dir to a file (attached). Let me know if that did not provide the information you need and I will work to get what you do need.

This might have been fixed by some other changes for bug 1311873
Could you try out the build from https://github.com/PintaProject/Pinta/releases/tag/dev-preview-builds and see if that works?

In build 390 this is fixed, Pinta no longer crashes.

Had same problem with Pinta 1.7 on Windows 10. Pinta crashed with no errors when I clicked on the text tool button. The issue was resolved with preview version 1.8: https://github.com/PintaProject/Pinta/releases/tag/dev-preview-builds
