Tested in 1.7+r1120-202007292146~ubuntu18.04:
1. On Ubuntu 18.04 on terminal execute:
pinta
and warning appears:
Gtk-Message: 20:28:20.353: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
2. I have searched the web and suggestion is to install package:
sudo apt install libcanberra-gtk-module
The output is:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following additional packages will be installed:
libcanberra-gtk0
The following NEW packages will be installed:
libcanberra-gtk-module libcanberra-gtk0
Note: I have removed the rest of output because it is irrelevant.
3. From termina executing:
pinta
And no error is displayed.
I don't know what this package really does, I don't see any problems in Pinta with or without it.
My suggestion:
1. Add this package as requirement when Pinta is installed.
2. Check if this package is really needed for Pinta and if not somehow change source code this error is not going to be produced.
Maybe some currently unknown problems appear without this package. |
