Copy past image fails

Bug Description

1. Open image 1 (ex a.png)
2. Open image 2 (ex b.png)
3. Try switching from on to the other -> Ok
4. Copy a.png (after selecting a.png Pinta)
5. Switch to b.png Pinta
6. Enlarge canvas to paste b below a (make room below a)
7. Paste b and move below a
8. Do something (crop the resulting image) --> crash
-----> Both "Pinta's" close suddenly and disappear
-----> Did use this method in xububtu 16.04 LTS multiple times without problems?

I tried to test problem, but can't reproduce it in 1.7-development daily PPA on Ubuntu 18.04. This problem was most probably fixed. I clearly remember having problems with canvas resize and copping in the past.

I can't reproduce it either, so this seems to have been fixed.
