Pinta latest crashes on open under macOS Sierra 10.12.6

Per topic, no matter how many times I reinstall Mono and Pinta, Pinta crashes *every single time I open it*.

I am beyond infuriated, since I need a program like Pinta/Paint.NET, and there are pretty much no decent alternatives on macOS. :(

I tried downloading Mono from their website (5.2.0.215) instead of the 3.12.1 offered on your website, and that didn't work either.
