Cursor selection and area selection not updated

Pinta 1.7.0.184 on Windows 7.
1. New image.
2. Rectangle Select and select some part of the image.
3. (observe) In toolbar top-right there are X,Y info about current cursor and selection area. See this is working now.
4. Deselect All button.
5. (observe) Selections still stays at previous settings despite there is no selection at canvas. Problem No. 1.
6. Repeat step 2.
7. Beside existing image open new image.
8. (observe) Selection info from toolbar from first image still displayed on second image. Problem No. 2.

Most probably this is one and the same problem, so I didn't report two bugs.
