Pinta 1.7.0.125 on Ubuntu 14.04. (This is not a regression, I checked the 1.6 officiall stable and the same behaviour).
Look at Tools and Palette there are only Autohide icons at top-right corner.
Looak at Images, History and Layers there are Autohide and Close buttons.
This is inconsistency and I see no reason why should it be like this.
In my humble opinion I would remove "Close" buttons from Images, History and Layers, because I accidently click this buttons very often. I also saw my friend clicking this button and he has no clue how to get window back.
In my humble opinion the only way to turn on/off this windows should be by executing View | Tools Windows options. |
