Bug Description

Pinta from master on Windows XP.
1. Open Pinta. On Tools pad Ellipse and Freeform Shape are hidden under Palette pad.
Work-around move Palette pad down. After Pinta restart this two tools are hidden again.

Maybe this is happening on small screens. My laptop max. screen resolution I currently use is 1024 x768.

Has this always happened for you, or is it something new in the development previews?

I am pretty sure this was ones working (this two tools displayed)... I have spotted this now when creating new icons in bug 1181802.

Now I tested previews on 2013-05-18 and 2013-05-12 and problem still appears. I tried to install preview 2013-03-19, 2012-11-21 and 1.4 but I always get crash when starting Pinta - so can't test this anymore - yes I have cleaned up Gtk and fresh installed old version of Gtk, but Pinta still crashes. I currently see no point of investigating why old Pinta versions crashes on my laptop (the latest development preview works fine).

P.S. Maybe mark this problem as Low importance.

I think I've seen this occasionally on Linux as well recently. Bug #581108 should probably fix this.

Changed in pinta:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Confirmed

Cameron, #3 bug 581108 is about resizing icons in pads using new widget that is currently not yet supported in current Gtk#. Yes, this may also fix current problem. But if it is OK with you, I would prefer to leave this bug report separate (not marked it as duplicate), because it is not the same problem despite solution can be the same.

David, at the top of bug tracker there is a link "This bug affects you". Click the link and increase counter by one for yourself.

Yeah, I think it makes sense to keep these as two separate bug reports.
