Because of this the Ubuntu project can not support or fix your particular bug. Please report this bug to the provider of the software package. Thanks!

The installation goes as far as copying the install files and then the installer crashes.

you can't encrypt the home while installing.

Thanks for the answer, I was having the same problem and could not figure out why. However, I was trying to encrypt the /home during install and it did not occur to me that could be the cause.
