Error Reading blist.xml

Binary package hint: pidgin

The above error notification comes upon every pidgin startup.
I was using gaim on Feisty before and its was replaced with pidgin upon upgrade to Gutsy.
I see the same issue on Windows too. And there too I was using Gaim before.

I suspect there might be something that is left over from the old gaim configuration that causes this.

I forgot to mention this. There is no problem with usability. Pidgin works perfectly after this error notice is dismissed.

Confirmed upstream bug # http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/767
Cause can be due to the ' character in the xml file.

Its a very old bug, not reproducible any longer... many upgrade cycles have passed since. :-)
