over scrolling when text message is entered, both incoming and outgoing

Messages when entered for themes like ichat sms, metal chat, scroll down excess when the next message is entered.

This happens when both incoming and outgoing messages are entered.

After few message exchanges only blank screen is seen in the message window, to see the incoming text or outgoing text just entered, i need to scroll back up.
