scale action stalls / freezes / hangs when processing large images

My actionlist of scaling to 66% and saving in a subfolder works on most jpegs but the processing window completely stalls when attempting to process large photos ~17MB in the same directory.

Phatch's CPU usage is at 0 during this stall and the cancel button doesn't work. Closing the smaller processing window successfully stops the operation and leaves me at Phatch's main window.

I reduced one of these large images down to 25% of its original dimensions, then Phatch processed it without error.
