loooong sequences when sub times without pause

Bug Description

I noticed if the subtitle sets no pauses between two lines, Perroquet links them, making a very long sequence.

if the time of beginning line 4 is the same than ending line 3, Perroquet seems considerating them as one sequence only. I suppose subtitles should not be made this way, but maybe the program could become tolerant to this design.

At that time, I modified the whole sub with the text find/replace function, searching "1 -->" for replacing by "9 -->" etc ; it's tricky, not for every user...

Here an extract of the fautive subtitle ; attached an image capture of the result :

3
00:00:09,767 --> 00:00:11,067
I went to the library and I got some
sheet music,

4
00:00:11,067 --> 00:00:12,534
and I wanted to run
some songs by you

5
00:00:12,534 --> 00:00:14,234
that feature me heavily on lead vocal.
Thanks, Rach.

6
00:00:14,234 --> 00:00:15,968
But I already got one
picked out.
(etc.)

Hi and thanks for this bug report.

A features introduced for perroquet 1.1.0 allow to configure the max sequence length. This change may fix this bug. Can you try to reproduce the bug this 1.1.0 beta ?

To test the 1.1.0 beta, download this package

http://jyraphe.b219.org/file.php?h=Ra1b10fcb6b6d0a927627201459e31914

Extract it and run ./perroquet un the extracted folder. It don't need to install it.

Otherwise 1.1.0b seems OK, I'll use it yet

No, 1.1.0b doesn't fix the bug.

The comment #4 was just about the fact I'll test this version until now, even if it didn't fix "my" bug, sorry.

I found the cause of this bug. The default value of the "maximum sequence length" was too long (60 seconds and not 10 seconds as expected). I just fix this bug for the next version but you can easily fix your version :

- To fix an existing exercise : Menu 'Exercise' > 'Advanced properties', tab 'Sequences' and decrease the 'Maximum sequence time' value.

- To fix for future exercises : Menu 'Edit' > 'Settings', tab 'Advanced' > Sub tab 'Default exercise properties' and decrease the value of 'Maximum sequence time'.

Thanks again for your report.
