Have --apply-log honor location-related variables, e.g. innodb_data_home_dir

Bug Description

This is a feature request.

Innodb provides options, innodb_data_home_dir and innodb_log_group_home_dir, to allow ibdata and iblog files on separate file paths from datadir. The backup process reads these options and correctly backup related files. However, the restore process ignores these variables and can only work with files all in one directory. It would be great to enhance the xtrabackup to accept these variables during restore(--apply-log).

Can you, please, provide some example when taking these options into account is needed at --apply-log stage?

They are used (if set) for --copy-back, but what's wrong with using the same directory at --apply-log stage?

Hi Valerii,

When the database server has limited disk space and has to put ibdata and iblog files on separate disk partitions, the limitation of having to have everything at one place for --apply-log prevent the db server from being used to run the restore.

Btw, using symlinks is a fine alternative. I hit failures twice and filed https://bugs.launchpad.net/percona-xtrabackup/+bug/1470275, but also just had two successful runs.
