sh: xtrabackup_55: command not found

I know this bug is the same as 688211 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/688211). It's small, and i've solved it. But i want to report it, because it costs me 2 hours to find out the problem.

XTRABACKUP_VERSION=2.0.0, and i installed from source code.

"What OS you are running?
on Linux systems XtraBackup script and binaries are installed to /usr/bin directory. Is it in your $PATH?
Can you locate xtrabackup_51 binary on your filesystem?"

=> I am using CentOS 6.0. I don't know why "XtraBackup script and binaries" aren't in /usr/bin directory after the setup. It still in src directory.

"You mentioned that using --ibbackup=/usr/local/bin/xtrabackup_51 did not work for you. Did it fail with the same symptoms, or in a different way?"

=> It's working with "--ibbackup=src/xtrabackup_55". And after i copied "/src/xtrabackup_55" to "/usr/bin/xtrabackup_55". I no longer need --ibbackup.

I don't understand why "xtrabackup_55" wasn't in /usr/bin/ after it've finished the setup? But maybe you should re-config the PATH in innobackupex and find out why xtrabackup_55 wasn't copied to /usr/bin/.

I hope this report can save others time in future.

After added:

[xtrabackup]
datadir = /var/lib/mysql/

to /etc/my.cnf

I no longer need to use --defaults-file=/etc/my.cnf

Changing this to a documentation bug. We should clarify in http://www.percona.com/doc/percona-xtrabackup/installation/compiling_xtrabackup.html and probably in BUILD.txt that in order to install XtraBackup after compiling from source, one has to copy innobackupex and the corresponding xtrabackup binary to some directory listed in the PATH environment variable, e.g. /usr/bin.
