Hi,

So in 5.5.27 we just experienced a deadlock with ALTER TABLE on regular, non-partitioned tables. This caused SHOW INNODB STATUS and SHOW GLOBAL STATUS as well as any access to the database that contained the ALTER'ed table to simple freeze forever. Would this bug be a cause of that, or shoudl I submit a new bug?

We do not experience this on 5.5.24 using identical hardware and similar OS builds.
