Peppermint 9 - Asus UX306UA - Screen flickers (turns to black and back on a few times) from time to time (randomly)

I upgraded recently from Peppermint 8 to 9 and I noticed a disturbing screen flicker from time to time (randomly).

This issue did not happen on Peppermint 8.
I use Peppermint on my laptop (Asus UX306UA), with Intel graphics.
Not totally sure, but when I turned off the effects, it did not happen at least so oftern, from what I noticed.

Please let me know if there is something specific that you need me to provide you.

I will try and come back if it's not solved.
Anyways I'm not talking about screen tearing,... the screen turns completely black and comes back for a few times... totally randomly.

After disabling the desktop effects I didn't noticed it happen for some time, until today.
So disabling the desktop effects didn't solve the issue. I enabled the option back.

I did have selected a refresh rate of 120Hz, which I changed to 59.9Hz.
If this doesn't fix the issue I will report the issue in the support forum.
