Bug Description

I use Bible Analyzer to study my Bible. Peppermint OS 8 displayed my Hebrew bible text right-to-left beautifully. Peppermint OS 9, which uses Ubuntu 18.04 does not display right-to-left, but left-to-right. I am attaching a small file showing RTL text. Something changed in the window management module and it makes using version 9 un-usable. Help!

Have you tried installing the python-wxgtk3.0 pythom module ?
sudo apt-get install python-wxgtk3.0

I'm lost, what am I supposed to do with that python script ?

If it's just an rtl example, the text at lines 26-30 seem right justified to me, with the numbers at the far right

Is that not what it's supposed to look like ?

Hello Mark,

I am sorry for not being clearer in the bug report. The code snippet I
attached is what Hebrew is supposed to look like. If you install the
python-wxgtk3.0 module, install  the Ubuntu Linux version of Bible
Analyzer (from here http://www.bibleanalyzer.com/download.htm), install
the WLCi Bible (from the Download Module site within Bible Analyzer),
run Bible Analyzer you get what is shown in the attached screenshot.

The Bible should be right-to-left as shown in the code snippet I
attached to the bug report. Something apparently changed in the Ubuntu
18.04 display. The Bible displays perfectly in Peppermint OS8. Can you
help me with this? Thanks!

Darrel

Hi Mark,

Have you had a chance to look at the RTL Hebrew issue yet?

Darrel, I am not ignoring this, the bug is most likely upstream but I will look into it as soon as I have time. This is a very busy period for us (having just released) and limited resources means we have to prioritise, so please understand it might be a while before I can offer anything useful but I'll do everything in my power to keep this wait to a minimum.

Thanks Mark I appreciate that. Is there anyone upstream that I should be
talking with or should I leave it in your court?
