Bug Description

Hi.

I downloaded the 64bit version today, twice. Checked the md5sum each time, burn to dvd, and reboot. The peppermint splash screen comes up, but when I "try without installing" the system boots up as elementtary os! Both times. I do not have elementary installed, and have not downloaded it.

I've just downloaded both Peppermint 8 Respin ISO's (32bit and 64bit) from our website and checked both the SHA256 checksums and he GPG signatures against the masters we hold, and both ISO's checked out as being the originals digitally signed by me. I can only assume it's something on your system. Is your system UEFI and have you ever had Elementary installed ?

Hi Mark.

I'm assuming that it is UEFI, but will double check. I have not installed
elementary on this desktop. I will also try downloading and burning
peppermint to dvd on my laptop, to see if that works.

Thanks for your response.

Peter
