Bug Description
My display is set up for 120 DPI fonts. The PCB main window does not have rulers (why?) and the only place where the cursor coordinates are displayed is the top right corner of the window. But the coordinates do not fit into dedicated area.

Can you post a screen-shot showing the issue please?
The coordinate box should be expanding to fit the content in...
As for no rules - (separate bug / feature request if you want to persue this please), It is probably because they would take up screen real-estate otherwise useful for drawing on the board. That and the fact that GTK doesn't have a non-deprecated API for drawing them, so we'd have to copy+paste or NIH the widget code. I don't recall the old (deprecated) GTK ruler widget being any good though.
