Bug Description
This feature will be of great use if we can define groups in a particular layout !
the feature may be temporary i.e. groupings are volatile and can be used within a session.
or they can be saved in the .pcb file!

The primary purpose I have for grouping objects in pcb is when I import graphics for my silk screen layer (Inkscape- >PostScript- >pstoedit- >pcb), each polygon within the imported graphics is separate and it is extremely difficult to move the graphics once placed on the board, if there is anything else on the silk layer near it, because you have to perform a multiple-select on the entire collection of imported graphics polygons, without selecting an unwanted silk elements (including text objects or element silk outlines).
