Bug Description

It looks like pcb4.2.2 is broken in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS or I am missing a GTK dependency.

Blank screen and burning CPU cycles and after time out dying ungracefully.

Hmm, installing other software solved the problem ... takes a lot of time to start up.

Building of pcb-4.2.2 requires gschem to be installed (dependency). The geda-gaf suite of tools is not available for "Ubuntu 20.04 LTS". Geda-gaf requires downloading all *.deb files from https://pkgs.org/search/?q=geda under the "Ubuntu 18.04 LTS" dropdown tab, and manual installation with dpkg -i *.deb.
Prior to this other dependencies like "gawk" and "guile-2.0", "guile-2.0-libs" and "guile-2.0-dev" need to be installed with "apt-get".

For whatever reason it takes almost 17 seconds to startup pcb with the GTK UI on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

As of mid February pcb-4.2.2 and git master startup within 1 second.
