Bug Description

i tried rev23 and i got visual gltiches in compiz when i don't get a black screen.
The glitches happens when i switch virtual desktop, exactly the same way i tried your experimental news wingpanel animations. Did u use the same code?

pantheon-wallpaper is unusable in its current state for me

I can't reproduce any glitches in Compiz 0.9, Luna build based on Ubuntu 12.04 beta

Part of wallpaper goes black when wallpaper window is unfocused in Compiz 0.9 when it falls back to something nasty like software rendering. Not sure whose fault is it.

That was on Softpipe renderer which should rot in hell, not be the default fallback in Ubuntu...

Not sure if it's the same thing but try using a wallpaper that's located on a harddisk that doesn't get mounted on start-up. Then you get visual glitches as well.
