Bug Description

3/4 times I'm starting eOS Freya I got a reboot while the system shows the "e" logo loading the operating system. Sometimes it takes 2 seconds before the reboot, sometimes 3, but I know if it takes more than 5 seconds it will start the system as expected.

My laptop is a Asus N750JK with Windows 8.1 dual-boot. I have SecureBoot disabled in BIOS, enabled CMS and disabled FastBoot.

Tell me if you need for information. I don't know much about Linux but I can run the commands you wrote for testing.

Also I experienced that the "safety mode" right under the normal elementary os entry in grub always boots correctly, is there a way to replicate the execution mode of this safety to the normal start? What's the difference between this modes? Thanks a lot, I really want to use this distro.

affects: pantheon-terminal → elementaryos

remove "quiet splash" from bootline in /boot/grub/grub.cfg and you'll see more information about failure...
