Can confirm. Spamming with notify-send, I got the mem usage from 9mb up to 41mb

status: New → Confirmed

Yeah, it's a known problem. I reported a bug for dbus although I'm not sure if it's really their fault, but notify-osd seems to have similar problems: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~canonical-dx-team/notify-osd/precise/view/head:/src/stack.c#L778
Their solution is apparently suiciding and reviving... in case we will have to do the same, cerbere will be helpful.

Is this fixed? I can't reproduce it in Ubuntu 13.04 or in 12.04 under VirtualBox, I've tried sending 100+ notifications using "notify-send" and the memory used by Pantheon Notify didn't go past 25.5 MB.
