IMAP old messages in folders not retrieved

I'm using Davmail to access the Exchange server from work. When using Thunderbird I point to localhost for both IMAP and SMP and it works as expected: all my emails which are in the server are shown in all folders (really fast, I must say). However, when I try the same with Pantheon Mail, only messages from a couple of months old are retrieved (way less fast). On folders with a lot of messeghes in this months, as long as I'm scrolling down, it fetches older mails until if fetches everything but for folders in which there is not so much activity as to be able to scroll, only this messages from a couple of months are shown and since I can't scroll, nothing more is fetched.

As a workaround, reducing the window size to force scrolling in the message list and then scrolling to the bottom, forces Pantheon Mail to start fetching another batch of mails. Although this is a slow and cumbersome workaround.
