Bug Description

I am dual booting elementary OS on a Macbook Pro and I find every time I boot into elementary OS, the screen and keyboard backlight brightness settings are restored to Maximum.

I cannot change the screen brightness or keyboard brightness in the login window (there is a separate bug for this). I log in and change the keyboard backlight brightness (all the way off) and the screen brightness (down to around 50%). I then restart the computer and boot straight back in to elementary OS only to find the keyboard backlight brightness and screen brightness are back up to their maximum values.

In terms of a feature request, it would be nice if the keyboard backlight, screen brightness, (audio settings, etc) settings could be saved at shutdown and set to those saved values on startup.

If you change your brightness after you login, is it remembered the next time you login?

When I log out screen brightness goes to minimum (showing maximum in Switchboard). I have to move the cursor to get it back. It first happened when I installed the nvidia driver and choosed to use Intel gpu with prime. Now everytime I log out and lightdm appears it happens and I have to change it back. Don't know if it is linked someway with prime or if it happen with nouveau too

This sounds like a proprietary drivers bug, anyone experienced it with nouveau or intel?
