unable to change keyboard layout

I have Colemak and standard qwerty keyboard layouts available, but cannot switch between them at the login screen.

The system was installed using qwerty, and I use colemak for my account. The login screen will only allow colemak. This makes logging in by anyone not familiar with the layout near impossible (though not ideal, they could display the on-screen keyboard).

I found a fix for my system, but the issue of not having an option to change layouts on the login screen stands.

I changed the order in keyboard layouts so qwerty is on top. Now no matter what keyboard I have selected in the session, qwerty is active at login.

It happens with any layouts.
If youhave two or more keyboard layouts it should be an indicator to change it but there isn't.
I have the same problem, where I can't login because I can't change the layout to enter my password.

I have two layouts, but the default one I select is not the one used at login screen.
Even after I delete the other layout and keep only the new one, the old layout (the one selected during installation) is still the one used at login screen.

Pretty sure this got fixed when teemperor's rewrite was merged for Freya

Keyboard layouts still can't be changed with keyboard shortcut like alt+shift.

I guess the problem is caused by IBus Preferences.
