Adobe reader plugin not working in chrome or firefox

Bug Description
I require adobe pdf plugin to open files in the browser for filling forms and saving it to our cloud.. But after migrating to luna from windows, I am not able to open the pdf forms in the browsers..
In chrome -- The plug in not seen in chrome://plugins.. This issue is present even after reinstalling adobe reader..
In firefox, the plug in is visible and pdf files are set to open in adobe reader plugin inside the browsers, But the file fails to open with a message waiting for 'website'..
I cannot use any other plugins to open pdf files as i will not be able to fill or save the files online. If this issue is not resolved, I will be forced to go back to windows which will be a shame coz i had begun to fall in love with Luna...
