"Make a Folder" context item

Bug Description

If I select a group of files and right click one of them there should be an option to "Make a Folder" containing all of those items.

Bonus points if the folder is auto-named based on common meta data. For example "Photos from January 1st" or more simply "Spreadsheets"

It could be implemented via an extension, it is a good idea.

IMHO it should be extension only because it adds another menu entry without doing something very useful. You can just make a new folder, select the files and drag&drop them to the folder.

Only thing that it changes in workflow is removal of d&d. (And you first select, then make folder instead of making a folder first and then selecting.)

Daniel Fore i would like to suggest another possibility. What about a menu entry called "Put into". This menu entry would replace the "compress" menu entry. It would also have maximum two sub menu entries.
1) compressed file
2) new Folder
Option #1 would always be available even if nothing is selected.
Option #2 would only be available if at least one file is selected.
