Bug Description
Here are two entries in my shell history:
```
fabio@thinkpad ♥ pantheon-files .
fabio@thinkpad ♥ pantheon-files `pwd`
```
I've tried to open the files app in a folder where I had just created a file using the console, but using `.` to refer to the current folder did not work, which I find very unintuitive.
To make it open the folder I was in, I had to use the `pwd` command. It's a nice workaround, since I have to do this operation a lot of times, but because of that it would be nice to be able to just type ".".

This appears to be fixed in the latest version on master.
