Bug Description

I was trying new video players and I liked GNOME-MPV and put it as default, when I tried to open the video file on pantheon-files, accidentally I double clicked: the pantheon shell crashed and gnome-mpv didn't open.

More details on the log in attachment.

I cannot reproduce this using mp4, ogv or mkv files. I do not have an avi file to hand at the moment, but I will try and find one.

I assume had gnome-mpv set as the default video player for .avi files? If so, right clicking should give "Open with mpv Media Player" as the first option.

Please could you confirm whether this issue is restricted to certain files or file types?

Correction - right-clicking should show ("Open in Gnome MPV Player").

Please could you also confirm whether the problematic avi file plays correctly when launched with gnome-mpv from the command line.

I did not have any problem with a couple of small sample avis.
