There is no way of setting an alias/shortname for network mounts

Bug Description

After you have mounted a network drive you are met with the name "<username> on <server>" and there is no way of changing it.

This is because network drives are not stored in the bookmark list between sessions. They are discovered by the system Volume manager every time.

It is possible to bookmark network locations using the context menu in the view - you can then customize the name of the bookmark (which is what I do).

In principle it should be possible, but not straightforward, for Files to remember previously used network locations and store a custom name for them.
