Bug Description

The shortcut to show the recently used files is a great addition to Pantheon Files but there's something bugging me about it. I am not able to rearrange this shortcut in the sidebar. I would like to be able to move it around, so that I can place it above the trash.

System bookmarks like "Home", "Recent", "Trash" and "Filesystem" are not intended to be movable, renameable or deletable at the moment (there is no mechanism to record their position in settings). However there is a branch "lp:~jeremywootten/pantheon-files/experimental-group-builtin-places-at-start-of-sidebar" that will group these bookmarks together in their own category. In that branch, "Recent" is placed just above "Trash", although the System category is placed at the top of the sidebar. Perhaps this will help you?

Thanks for the suggestion, but the groupings you suggested to not sound very appealing to me.
I will try to get used to the arrangement for the time beeing. Maybe this could be changed sometime in the future.

It seems more logical to me to have the "fixed" bookmarks separated from the customizable rather than some at the top and some at the bottom with no visible distinction, but it remains to be seen whether this idea will meet with the approval of the elementary design team.
