Using search in files stalls system

Bug Description
Whenever I try and search for a file in the files application the system stalls. Sometimes I can still move the pointer around, but I cannot launch slingshot or use the dock or do anything else. Have to reset computer to fix.

Does not stall the system anymore, must have been due to something else. This type of stall does happen from time to time, but probably isn't due to Files.
