Connecting to network shares should have a timeout

I've been trying to connect to Windows Shares, and sometimes I get authed successfully etc, but some whatever reason the connection never resolves and the whole file-browser is frozen because of this.

There should be a time-out where if it hasn't connected, you can retry or cancel and somehow not freeze up Files while its happening.
