Dragging a file on removable device doesn't automatically mount it

Bug Description
When you want to copy/move a file to a removable device (e.g. a USB stick), the easiest way is to navigate to the file's location and drag it onto the USB stick which appears in the left pane. This should automatically mount the device, but it doesn't, so drag and drop is ineffective.
