Location Bar has buggy animation when switching between tabs

Bug Description
When switching between tabs the location bar seems to render the old path before setting the new path in the widget.
It can be seen when doing the following:
1. Have two tabs open, 1 set to a longish path (e.g. ~/Downloads/
2. Switch between the two tabs, particularly from long to short, you can the see the long directory path is actually animated, then is set to the short directory path when finished.
