Bug Description
When a new window of pantheon-files is opened, the user can start typing the name of a file or folder: the first file or folder that matches the typed text in alphabetical order is selected, and can be opened by hitting the Enter key. When a new tab is opened (by typing Ctrl+T), this does not happen. Files or folders can be selected or opened only by clicking on them with the mouse. Once a file or folder has been selected or opened, type-ahead-find works again as expected.
How to reproduce the bug.
Open a new window of pantheon-files and start typing: the first file or folder that matches the typed text in alphabetical order is selected. Now type Ctrl+T. A new tab opens. If you start typing, nothing happens. If you open a file or folder and then try to type, type-ahead-find works again.
