can't run Files

I can't run Files from its icon.

Here's what i get when I tried to run Files through terminal (pantheon-files):

[GLib-GIO] Settings schema 'org.pantheon.files.preferences' is not installed

But I can run "marlin" from terminal.

For now, as workaround I change line from marlin.desktop from "Exec=pantheon-files %U" to "Exec=marlin %U"

Have you run "sudo make install"?

I wasn't build Files from source, i installed it from PPA, is it necessary to do "sudo make install"?

But when I run Marlin, it does get the updated look from Files. (I can tell the differences because the new Marlin has more "view" option than Marlin)

No, you don't need to run it if you've installed it from the PPA. Probably it's a packaging problem, someone more knowledgeable will tell.

Try to kill marlin-daemon process before run pantheon-terminal or delete Marlin it self from your pc. It can be cause of some problems

oh, my fault, it isnt ^^ You have to remove marlin first.
