Redshift-gtk wingpanel icon and Loki

Since all the third party indicators are now in plank, apps like redshift-gtk are useless. Its functionality relied in the floating window (like any indicator) and now there isn't any way to use it.
Plank doesn't even show any setting with the right click, just "keep in dock". Can you do something about it?

What makes redshift-gtk useless?

There isn't much elementary can or will do about this, since it is up to the maintainer of redshift to update the application.

We believe that applications like Redshift belong to Switchboard, specifically, to the Color plug.

I'm talking about Loki beta. Now all indicators that don't use Wingpanel API (aka every app except for the elementary ones) are in the dock. Redshift-gtk is useless because its functionality relied in the indicator that was in Wingpanel (back in Freya) and now opening it just shows an icon in Plank that has zero functionality.

Just because Redshift-gtk shows up in Plank doesn't mean all the indicators show up in Plank.

Loki is trying to discourage use of a deprecated API.
