The feature "pressure reveal" for the dock, a feature that is a great way to keep from accidentally invoking the dock, doesnt seem to be included in luna yet. In my opinion, It would be very benificial if it where to be added.

@john-pankov: Thanks for the efforts, but did you realize there is a branch/merge linked to this bug already?

Also plank and pantheon-dock are the same, so there is no need to differ between them.

How is pressure reveal different from delay?

Well, to be blunt, delay is simply annoying. Pressure sensitivity is nice
because if you're going for the dock, you can reveal it based on the amount
of pressure the cursor sees from the screen edge, as opposed to
accidentally 'grazing' the edge and it showing up when you didn't intend
for it to. With delay, let's say I'm in an epic multitasking mode, so I'm
clicking here then there and this/that/the other @ 100 mph. I go to reveal
dock, and suddenly that delay (even a short one) feels out of place.

Granted, different strokes, so everybody will have different preferences,
but Gnome Shell changed their notification menu from delay to pressure
sensitivity, which made it far less frustrating to utilize.

@jasauders I see what you mean, and I agree. In the meantime try using a 250ms delay, works for me :P

Merged with r1033, It introduces a dedicated setting which disables it by default.

Use "PressureReveal=true" in .config/plank/dock1/settings to enable it.
