Bug Description

The effect of Tops and Bots parameters of Panini General projection is over amplified in the quick preview compared to the final output. Things are OK in the normal preview window.

Here is a screenshot showing both the normal and quick preview for a project I was working on. I was trying to get the fence on the bottom of the image as straight as possible using the Bots parameters of Panini projection. As seen in the screenshots this parameter has a very different effect in the quick preview compared to the normal preview (Tops parameters is also showing the same behavior). The final Image is identical to the normal preview (i.e., the quick preview is wrong).

Also, I noted that this problem appears only when Bots or Tops parameters are positive (i.e., quick and normal preview are showing the same image when Tops and Bots parameters are set to 0 or to negative value).

I could reproduce the effect on two different computers and using both Hugin 2010.2.0 and 2010.4.0.

I can reproduce with current 2010.5

The fast preview also fails the triplane projection, but the biplane displays well.

I see something slightly different, firstly there are odd distortions with 'tops' or 'bots' > 0 in some photos but not all photos, similiar to 'over amplification'.

But there is actually another severe bug: which is that negative numbers have the same effect as positive numbers. The intention with these General Pannini parameters is that you can use them to both 'stretch' and 'compress' the top and bottom of the image, with Hugin as it is now you can only 'stretch'.

This is an issue in libpano. Forward and backward transformation of General Panini are not reversible with hard squeeze (top/bottom>0).
