Bug Description
When normalizing and sanitizing metadata, the Panflute daemon sometimes throws exceptions if the incoming metadata is malformed. For instance, if a value is supposed to be an int but gets something that can't be converted to an int (such as "2006,2006"), an exception gets thrown from the conversion function.
The daemon should catch these exceptions and discard any malformed pieces of metadata it encounters.
