#418 revision compiles and links but then some helper apps crash

I installed the third-party-tools-1.7.2
updated them as good I could.
I still wonder where to get the newest tools. Could you help me there?

Then building goes through but helper app crash:
I get different errors some seem to be related with pzip.exe.

Also you need to copy ddraw.lib from old ddx8 to the lib of new direct x9 as the direct x8 installation folder is not recognized.

When did you perform the CVS checkout? It doesn't surprise me very much that the latest CVS isn't very stable because some of the guys have been making some pretty big changes. I'm not sure why that error is happening, though, as the buildbot is compiling on Windows without issues at the moment.
