Bug Description

This is confusing since when you hit backspace, it does delete the last letter of the current word, and not the letter immediately before the cursor

Steps to reproduce :

- Enable "Word Suggestions"
- Open the homepage of the browser-app
- On the search form, start typing the word "Unbuntu" as it is ;)
- Try to correct the word again by moving the cursor just before the "b" letter
- Now hit the backspace to delete the "n" letter

Actual result :
- The last letter "u" is deleted

Expected result :
- The letter before the cursor should be deleted which means the "n"

Hi, can you clarify how to reproduce the bug and how it relates to a particular feature (or bug) of webapp-container?

and it's even worse when you have more than two words and you try to correct a word in the middle of a sentence.

This keeps getting bumped. Is it still an issue in the current version of Oxide (1.5)?

Yes, this is still an issue with the latest oxide (tested on krillin with the latest vivid-proposed image, #148).
Additionally, when tapping in the middle of the word that was just input to try and correct it, the letters disappear, leaving only the underlining of the word itself (the letters reappear when pressing backspace, which deletes the last letter of the word instead of the one before the cursor).

Chris, sure thing; I'm pretty full up with tasks for the next couple of weeks but I'll suggest it for scheduling in our next sprint.

That's ok - I've been pushing this back for months, so an extra couple of weeks doesn't matter.

Still present, haven't had a chance to investigate this one in detail, I suspect we just need to commit the text in oxide when moving the cursor though.
