Bug Description

I am trying to use osprofiler to profile cinder, and I am getting this message:
"Something has gone wrong. See logs for more details."
I have printed the exception message, it says:
"Authentication failed. ...Missing options: token, endpoint, tenant_id, tenant_name"

I have a working openstack environment, and I have configured the cinder.conf and enabled the profiler.
I can see the message when I create a cinder volume:
" To display trace use next command:
osprofiler trace show --html 2cd67ed8-8491-495e-b257-7d7f00df427f:

I really don't know how to make osprofiler work, I would really appreciate any help!
Thanks,
Lu

I think that you for get to source environment variable.
For example, if you try osprofiler in devstack:
$ source /opt/stack/devstack/openrc admin demo

Which means:
admin: tenant_id
demo: tenant_name

Thanks Tovin for the reply, I do have the source environment variables -- as I mentioned, I can do nova, cinder, glance, etc. commands without any problem.

export OS_PROJECT_DOMAIN_NAME=default
export OS_USER_DOMAIN_NAME=default
export OS_PROJECT_NAME=admin
export OS_USERNAME=admin
export OS_PASSWORD=admin
export OS_AUTH_URL=http://controller:35357/v3
export OS_IDENTITY_API_VERSION=3
export OS_IMAGE_API_VERSION=2

Do you have any clue about the problem?
Thanks,
Lu

I have the same problem with Packstack/Ocata. osprofiler tries to call the ceilometer client, but somehow doesn't submit authentication information correctly.
