I'm afraid it's not possible to fix this using only the QML API.
I've disabled automaticOrientation for next release. Hopefully we will be able to handle this when taking control of gesture from C++.

The panning etc. is currently being handled by the Map component, right? That means it should just work, and this is a bug against the SDK. If that's correct you should link this bug to ubuntu-ui-toolkit.

Sadly not fixed by new SDK.

@Sam: hi, automaticOrientation is currently disabled on the code, have you tried to reenable it before checking?

I've tried just now, with #r9 build on rtm channel. I still see the issue. Maybe I'm not up to date?

Ah, yes, there is a new version. Strange, I usually have a notification.

So, I've just tried again with #r10, and I still have the issue.

Sorry, I mistook not rotating as fixed. Nevermind. If this issue is upstream we should report it there too.
